The Enterprise Applications & Database Services Group (SAE-1) within the Software and Applications Engineering Division (SAE) at Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking qualified Computer Science, Information Technology (MIS) or Computer Engineering Undergraduate (Junior/Senior) students seeking challenging paid internships for the current academic year and the summer of 2019. Candidates must be enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's program and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 for consideration.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Basic to Intermediate Windows or Linux desktop or server system administration.
Desktop support(windows, Mac, Linux).
Coursework in/experience with any of the following:
Relational database systems or datastructures.
Programming and/or scripting (C#, Java, T-SQL, PLSQL, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
Enterprise Applications/Business Systems.
TCP/IP, Network troubleshooting and administration.
Excellent verbal and writing skills.
Critical thinking and problem solvingskills.
Ability to independently research, learn,and organize information.
Education: Students pursuing a Bachelorsdegree in ComputerScience, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, ComputerEngineering (or relevant degree in IT) major while maintaining a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
Training will be provided, based on student interest:
Oracle and MS SQLServer Database Administration.
Middleware,Application Server, and Application Security Administration.
ERP TechnicalApplication Administration.
