What You Will Do
The selected candidate will report to the TA-55 Facility Operations Director (FOD) and will be responsible for implementing the safety basis program at TA-55, which includes interfacing with the Safety Basis Division and Los Alamos Field Office safety basis representatives on DSA/TSR updates, and Safety Basis changes to support facility needs and the plutonium facility Project Execution Plan. Responsibilities includes incorporating new or revised safety basis contents into new or revised facility procedures and maintaining the facility’s linking-documents database. This position is responsible for the performance of its high quality Implementation Verification Reviews (IVRs) consistently across the FOD (TA-55, RLUOB, RLW, CMR, and TWF). The position requires the individual to provide day-to-day oversight of resources to support facility operations in support of the TA-55 mission.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Demonstrated knowledge of Safety Basis processes and associated requirements for implementation.
Knowledge and experience with the Implementation Verification Review (IVR) process (LANL FSD 115-003).
Demonstrated experience with technical or operational discipline of nuclear facilities and/or nuclear facilities-related management.
Knowledge of tracking the status of upcoming safety basis changes.
Demonstrated experience in supporting facility operations with:
Issue identification and corrective action development
Procedure development and compliance related to safety basis and con ops
Demonstrated knowledge on managing New Information (NI) though the NI and Potential Inadequate Safety Analysis (PSIA) process.
Certified Project Manager or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Demonstrated experience with the implementation and compliance of the TA-55 safety basis, including the development of implementation plans, development of implementing documents, and applicable training.
Demonstrated experience working with the Safety Basis Division to ensure upcoming changes can be properly manage and implemented in a timely manner.
Education:BS in engineering discipline with 8-10 years’ nuclear facility experience.

HRP: This position is subject to the requirements of the DOE Human Reliability Program as specified in 10 Code of Federal Regulation, Part 712, §712.11. These requirements include on going drug and alcohol testing, as well as periodic medical and psychological evaluations.
