What You Will Do
B Division is seeking recent graduates looking for a challenging paid post graduate internships at the post-masters level. All selected candidates will be provided with a mentor, a challenging project for their appointment, and an opportunity to present their project work and progress to colleagues. The projects we have to offer will vary depending on the skills and interests of the candidate and our current needs.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Completion of a Master’s degree within the past 3 years or soon to be completed. All viable candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 for consideration. A resume and current transcript, showing the above requirements, are required.
We are seeking a wide variety of skills employed in a Biological environment. To receive full consideration, candidates must have received a degree in one of the following areas:
Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics
AND, knowledge and introductory experience in a laboratory environment.

Where You Will Work
Located in northern New Mexico, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. LANL enhances national security by ensuring the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear stockpile, developing technologies to reduce threats from weapons of mass destruction, and solving problems related to energy, environment, infrastructure, health, and global security concerns.
Bioscience Division (B) comprises a diverse group of experimentalists and computer scientists who work closely with other interdisciplinary scientists across the Laboratory. Their work serves the Nation by developing science and technology to reduce natural and deliberate threats to human populations, their way of life, and the global environment. Los Alamos scientists are:
Researching how living things function and interact
Understanding environmental systems and predicting climate effects
Developing new approaches to vaccines and therapeutics
Creating competitive biofuels from algae and plants
Sensing and stopping disease threats before they spread
