Los Alamos National Laboratory Sr. Acquisition Cost/Price Analyst / Acquisition Cost/Price Analyst 3 / 4 in Los Alamos, New Mexico
What You Will Do
This position will be filled at either the Acquisition Cost/Price Analyst 3 or 4 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
The Assurance Operations group provides support services on the purchase of products and services to Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The Operations Support Team, where the successful candidate will be a team member, supports the group mission by performing Acquisition Cost/Price analysis related factors in offer or subcontractor and supplier proposals. The Operations Team also reviews and processes invoices submitted for payment against LANL subcontracts.
Acquisition Cost/Price Analyst 3 ($80,100 - $131,000)
The successful candidate will be required to:
Plan, perform and report on complex subcontractor cost/price proposal reviews and subcontract changes
Perform interim/cost incurred audits, requests for equitable adjustments, claims and terminations, undefinitized pricing actions and subcontractor closeout reviews
Serve as subject matter expert for risk assessment on financial statement review and responsibility reports
Acquisition Cost/Price Analyst 4 ($96,600 - $161,300)
In addition to the duties outlined above, the Acquisition Cost/Price Analyst 4 will be required to:
Report to division management on all subcontractor cost/price analysis
Perform analysis on significant, unique or complex issues and provide highly creative solutions
Perform complex and high risk special price or cost assessments for acquisition managers

High level of understanding of contracting requirements, subcontracting and federal guidelines
High degree of knowledge of and expertise in all aspects of acquisition management
Detailed oriented and ability to work in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated ability to prepare procedures and reports
Additional Job Requirements for Acquisition Cost/Price Analyst 4:
In addition to the Job Requirements outlined above, qualification at the Acquisition Cost/Price Analyst 4 level requires:
Advanced expertise and knowledge regarding cost, price, financial, and audit requirements
Advanced understanding of prime contract requirements, subcontracting, and federal guidelines
Expert knowledge of and experience in all aspects of acquisition management
Past experience supervising lower level staff
Advanced understanding of source selection process and formulation and administration of all contract types
Extensive experience working in a government procurement organization
Acquisition Cost/Price Analyst 3Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, business management or similar area of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (8 years).
Acquisition Cost/Price Analyst 4 Education Required:
Masters of Business Administration degree in accounting, business or an equivalent combination of education and experience (12+ years).
