What You Will Do
The Sensitive and Special Operations Division is seeking a highly accomplished and motivated Solutions Architect 4 (SA‐4) to work as a member of the SSO-3 IT Development Team. SSO-3 provides accredited computing and networking solutions for execution of mission-driven National Security Programs to protect against nuclear threats. The SSO-3 IT Development Team leads the effort to research, design, install, and troubleshoot various networks, systems, applications, and other core services on multiple TS/SCI computer networks and stand‐alone systems in order to meet program requirements. The SA‐4 will be required to work independently and with other team members on several diverse and complex IT related projects. The individual selected for this position will be required to work closely with technical and administrative cyber‐security staff to help ensure networks and systems are compliant and secure and with operations staff to ensure networks and systems are adequately maintained and supported.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Expert knowledge and experience in architecting complex networking and computing solutions across multiple IT focus areas utilizing various technologies or methods
Willingness and ability to expand existing technical scope of knowledge and skills to include multiple IT disciplines and focus areas
Experience writing technical documentation for the design and deployment of enterprise IT systems
Ability to respond quickly to problems and to address rapidly changing priorities in a fast‐paced, dynamic, and often demanding environment
Demonstrated excellent project management skills including planning, execution, monitoring and closeout.
Demonstrated success developing and implementing solutions in a collaborative, team environment
Experience managing various aspects of MS Active Directory including MS Windows server operating systems and associated services
Experience administering enterprise Linux distributions and services (RHEL, SuSE, CFengine, ansible, etc.)
Demonstrated experience managing enterprise level storage systems (NetApp, Dell PowerVault, iSCSI JBOD, etc.)
Experience designing and maintaining network and storage infrastructure in virtual environments (VMWare, vSphere, etc.)
Experience designing and implementing diskless computing infrastructure (VDI, VMware Horizon, PCoIP, etc).
Experience working with enterprise switch, router, and firewall platforms (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
Experience with developing systems to meet stringing security requirements (STIG, ICD503, NIST 800-53)
Active Q, SCI, or TS clearance
Education: Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Training/Certifications: Desirable for the successful candidate to hold relevant technical certifications such as MSCE, RHCE, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, etc.
