What You Will Do
The Solutions Architect (SA) will serve as a technical lead for the NPI Division’s Material Management & Business Services Group (NPI-8) Business Solutions team. As a principle architect of ADPSM’s business infrastructure programmatic needs, the selected individual will oversee all activities and services provided on the NPI-8 business services request system on both yellow and red networks, including, but not limited to:
SharePoint site maintenance/support
Web-based application support
Procurement/Warehouse Database administration
Audiovisual System coordination
Responsibilities will also include:
Web application development/maintenance
Technical leadership/mentorship over TA-55 business processes and infrastructure support
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Expert knowledge, experience and application of current and future data management, hardware and software/application development, and/or systems programming technologies as they pertain to classified and unclassified environments.
Expert knowledge on the interoperation of systems programming technologies (e.g. Microsoft Access, Microsoft SharePoint, Nintex Workflows).
Demonstrated ability to provide solutions to complex business problems as they pertain to nuclear process infrastructure.
Knowledgeable of design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign.
Demonstrated experience using Windows 7 and Windows 10.
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational and project management skills.
Demonstrated team-building experience, and an ability to build rapport/gain consensus with internal and external customers.
Active DOE Q Clearance
PF-4 unescorted access.
Expert knowledge of databases such as MySQL or Oracle.
Experience providing software user training to end users.
Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
Education:A minimum of 10 to 15+ years of related experience is typically required, at this level a post graduate degree is desirable. An adequate combination of education and experience will be considered.

HRP: This position is subject to the requirements of the DOE Human Reliability Program as specified in 10 Code of Federal Regulation, Part 712, §712.11. These requirements include on going drug and alcohol testing, as well as periodic medical and psychological evaluations.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

Located in northern New Mexico, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. The Nuclear Process Infrastructure (NPI) Division provides the necessary business process and support functions to ensure Los Alamos National Laboratory, through the Associate Directorate for Plutonium Science and Manufacturing (ADPSM), successfully executes its mission assignments involving nuclear and explosive materials, science, technology, and weapons components. NPI partners with the ADPSM Engineering, Operations, and Program Management Divisions and with the ADNHHO Facility Operations Directors at TA-55 and TA-22 to achieve mission success.
