You will have the opportunity to work with others in a professional and personable manner on a daily basis while you increase Institutional Quality visibility throughout the lab.
Your primary responsibilities will be the development, review, and implementation of institutional quality programs that comply with applicable software quality requirements. Additional responsibilities include supporting internal and external customers, communication and outreach, and identifying process improvement opportunities. The ability to navigate complex situations involving differing interpretations of software quality assurance requirements by key stakeholders, competing business priorities, and relationship management is part of working in this dynamic environment.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Quality Assurance Requirements : Demonstrated experience applying and interpreting quality assurance requirements, policies, and procedures such as DOE O 414.1D, ASME NQA-1 2008/2009(a), and software quality assurance programs.
Self-directed and Teamwork : Proven success working independently and in a team environment.
Customer Service : Demonstrated experience utilizing strong written and verbal communication skills.
Decision Making : Demonstrated experience in effective decision-making and risk management related to complex technical issues.
Education/Experience :Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Technical Writing : Some experience writing policies and procedures.
Continuous Improvement : Some experience participating in process improvement principles and practices such as lean continuous improvement.
Relationship Management : Some experience managing or supporting complex relationships, conflict resolution, and collaborative problem solving.
Education/Experience :A background in software life cycle management is preferred but not required.

Location: This position will be Telework and may work from a remote/home location within a two-hour ground commute of the Laboratory. This program goes into effect January 3, 2022, but may be shortened at the manager’s discretion. Ability to report on-site is a must for this position.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements
for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.
Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. SeeDOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory.
