What You Will Do

The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT; Los Alamos Gateway) is seeking outstanding postdoctoral candidates to join our research effort in organometal halide perovskite material and device research. The job tasks include perovskite single crystal growth, crystalline thin film deposition by solution methods; material structure characterizations, as well as electronic device integrations. The candidate will have opportunities to work with CINT users and projects like 3D or 2D perovskite based semiconducting devices (i.e., photovoltaics, radiation detector). A successful candidate is expected to lead a project and support other projects in the team.

The candidate will work closely with CINT scientist Wanyi Nie, and will have opportunities to collaborate with other scientists at LANL. Outstanding candidates may be considered for a postdoctoral fellowship at LANL.

What You Need

  • A strong background on solution-based semiconducting material fabrication (i.e., metal halide perovskites, organic semiconductors, nanocrystals), thin film deposition by common laboratory tools like spin coater, slot die, blade coating.

  • Hands on experiences on electronic device assembly, interface material fabrication, vacuum deposition.

  • Basic knowledge on the characteristics of the semiconducting materials and devices like current voltage curves, impedance spectroscopy, electroluminescence, cryogenic measurements.

  • Basic material characteristic skills are required, such as X-ray crystallography, optical spectroscopy, SEM.

  • Self-motivated, team player.

Education/Experience :Ph.D. in a relevant field, completed within the last five years or soon to be completed is required.
