What You Will Do
We are looking for a highly motivated and customer service focused individual to join our team to support the development of leadership and organizational development programs for one of the most innovative and creative multidisciplinary research institutions engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. Los Alamos National Laboratory is looking for an organized, committed, HR professional to join our People & Organizational Development Group (HR-POD).
Reporting to the Group Leader of People and Organizational Development, the Organizational Development Specialist 3 will develop organizational development solutions, program and practices to help Laboratory leaders achieve their missions in an effective and efficient manner. Manage and lead project teams to sustain the business needs relative to workforce performance.

Minimum Job Requirements:
A results oriented trusted advisor who is quick to understand situations and helped leaders resolve organizational issues impacting their business and supported other institution wide initiatives.
Experienced in supporting or leading the OD/OE work stream in functional or technology transformations. Able to articulate transformation methodology and best practices to leadership in layman’s terms
Organizational Development Knowledge
Proven experience of leading, planning, developing and executing organizational development solutions in consultation with stakeholders, including strategic planning, organizational design, culture change, group dynamics, leadership alignment and effectiveness.
Change Management Experience
Experienced in change management methodologies, building high-level change plans, and advised on change management initiatives. Experienced facilitating executive teams through sessions.
Honest and able to express what they need to be successful and ask for mentoring or support, yet a team player, willing to support their colleagues on projects and share their knowledge.
Ability to handle ambiguity and changing conditions without negative emotional reaction in front of client and pivot their facilitation sessions to meet client expectations.
Current certifications in psychometrically valid instruments, such as Hogan, PROSCI and Benchmarks 360-degree feedback tools.
Current or past experience in the Federal sector or in DOE nuclear complex.
Current or recent Q or Top-Secret Clearance.
Education Required: Position requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. A Masters’ degree in a related field would be a distinct advantage.
Location: This position will be part of the Laboratory’s Telework Pilot and may work from a remote/home location within a two-hour ground commute of the Laboratory. The Telework Pilot is in effect from Oct. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021, but may be shortened or extended at the manager’s discretion. Ability to report on-site is a must for this position.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements
for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.
Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. SeeDOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
