What You Will Do
Serving as a member of the SSE-DO Readiness Coordinator Team, responsibilities will include supporting various readiness activities to include management self-assessments, contractor readiness assessments, and federal readiness assessments at TA-55. The readiness coordinators are an integral part of the preparation and assessment teams. This position will support the management team and readiness managers in areas such as implementation of guidance applicable to readiness requirements, oversight and coordination of on-sight assessment teams, preparation and electronic organization of documentation records for review, logistical coordination, as well as coordination and support of closeout of findings. The selected candidate will need to be an excellent problem-solver, anticipate challenges or obstacles and tactfully resolve them with minimal supervision. This position works collaboratively with staff from OS-BSI, as well as staff and contractors assigned to the assessment teams.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Working knowledge in the readiness review process, including working knowledge of DOE 0 425.1D, Verification of Readiness to Startup or Restart Nuclear Facilities.
Significant working experience in developing the Assessment Criteria Review and Approach Documents (CRADs).
Working knowledge of facility operations, including familiarity with integrated safety, formality of operations, compliance, performance, safety basis, work control, quality assurance, and performance feedback and improvement.
Working knowledge and experience with document control, and records management processes required for work conducted in a nuclear facility.
Working knowledge and experience with scheduling software, preferably Outlook.
Working knowledge and experience with training and qualification requirements related to DOE O 426.2, Personnel Selection, Training, Qualification and Certification Requirements for DOE Nuclear Facilities.
Demonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems identified during or affecting the readiness process.
Experience using SharePoint document management and storage system.
Knowledge of TA-55/PF-4 programmatic activities, nuclear facility operational requirements, and the safety management programs.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of new methods and process improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in developing and leading a team of professionals to provide a final product, such as a management self-assessment report.
Education: Position typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position may be subject to DOE Order 426.2, Personnel Selection, Training, and Qualification Requirements for DOE Nuclear Facilities.
