Los Alamos National Laboratory Maintenance Manager 3 in Los Alamos, New Mexico
What You Will Do
TheUtilities and Infrastructure (UI)Maintenance Manager 3 is responsible for managing the work control center within UI. WCTL. Key responsibilities include:
Increase organizational efficiencies and productivity through improved teamwork and integration of the Maintenance Site Services, Engineering and Operations departments.
Functional and operational direction to Work Control Planners, Maintenance Support Specialists and schedulers including all management and oversight functions.
Oversees the preparation, review, and issue of equipment and/or system modifications, corrective maintenance, and/or preventative maintenance work packages in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations.
Reviews changes in scope to active work packages and oversees the revision of the work package if the scope change is determined to be major.
Tracks and expedites established priority of work packages.
Manages various functional and administrative activities in conjunction with the primary work control/work package development including, but not limited to, permit development, testing requirements, documentation generation, records management, database information management, retrieval and review, and/or training.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of working planning and scheduling processes. Thorough knowledge of plant operating practices and procedures.
ExtensiveUnderstanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration, and lock-out/tag-out policies and procedures.
Extensiveexpertise with a computerized work management system such as Asset Suites, SAP, Maximo etc.
Demonstrated experience and skill in identifying problem areas, investigating alternative solutions, and determining action to be performed on problems affecting the maintenance program.
Ability to challenge individuals to develop skill outside of their comfort zone. Identify and develop successor to key roles; Deal directly with internal discipline to resolve problems and provide solutions.
Education: Position typically requires aBachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and 5 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Location: This position will be physically located in Los Alamos, NM.
