The Office of Counterintelligence (OCI) at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) works in conjunction with the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence to safeguard our national security. In this role you would contribute to our mission by:
Using all-source analytic techniques to identify, inform, and mitigate counterintelligence threats through the production of both strategic and tactical finished intelligence;
Collecting, analyzing, and documenting information pertinent to investigations, inquiries, assessments, and insider threat and awareness briefings;
Performing due-diligence in support of proposed international agreements and supply chain risk management;
Collaborating across OCI components, with other components of the LANL Field Intelligence Element, and with other LANL personnel;
Maintaining relationships with DOE-IN and other DOE Counterintelligence Field Offices and extensive liaison to the Federal Bureau of Investigations and other U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) members, to include representing OCI at various working groups;
Providing intelligence briefings/presentations to laboratory personnel and DOE seniors which may inform/impact DOE policy throughout the Department.

To succeed in this role you will need to have the following qualifications:
US Intelligence Community Experience
To succeed you will need extensive USIC experience and familiarity with seminal IC policy (e.g., EO 12333, PDD 61) and an understanding of U.S. intelligence and counterintelligence organizations and roles.
In this position you will need a vocational ethic that demonstrates a commitment to excellence, continuous learning, and independent work. You will also need experience in conducting analytic projects, providing analytical services, and implementing intelligence analysis methods. Knowledge of global political, economic, social, cultural, scientific, fiscal, and military conditions to evaluate information in light of the current geopolitical environment is also a prerequisite.
To succeed in this position you will need demonstrated experience giving intelligence briefings to decision makers at all levels.
You will need to have the ability to foster teamwork and the ability to interact professionally across LANL, with DOE-IN and other DOE Counterintelligence Field Offices, and with liaison partners. You must also be able to represent OCI at various working groups and have strong literary skills and clarity of speech.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At this level, post-graduate coursework is desirable.
In addition to the minimum requirements it would be a bonus if you had some of the qualifications below:
Familiarity with the DOE Counterintelligence/Counterterrorism Program and knowledge of foreign intelligence service methods and of non-traditional foreign intelligence collection.
Proficiency in a foreign language.
We would prefer someone who has an active Q clearance and SCI accesses and/or the ability to obtain those clearances expeditiously upon hire.
