What You Will Do

Responsible to the CMMS Work Control Team Lead for providing the institution with a robust, reliable CMMS. Maintains application, database, reports and other programs as required for use in the development and maintenance of Work Control process and other supporting processes including Financials, Payroll, P6 and OBI applications. Evaluates processes, programs, and procedures for potential improvements. Develops and maintains policies, processes, procedures and provides training in support of the conduct of maintenance program.

Key Position Requirements:

Plan, direct, schedule and coordinate efforts of CMMS support team personnel. Ensure that accepted process review recommendations are incorporated into the CMMS suite of tools. Serve as the liaison with CFO personnel for the management of interfaces between CMMS and the institutional financial systems. Work with the user community to define process improvement areas and opportunities for the use of new functionality. Champion the implementation of these in the CMMS suite. Support the team leader in the business aspects of system documentation development and maintenance. Support business personnel in problem identification, analysis, and resolution. Lead the setup and management of codes and preferences in current systems and upgrade.

Summary:

Develops, monitors, and validates accuracy, and auditing of performance data, reports, and other statistical information. Maintains database and other programs as required for use in the development of performance measurements and other required data administration. Evaluates processes, programs, and procedures for potential improvements. Develops and maintains maintenance policies, processes, procedures and provides training in support of the conduct of maintenance program.

Job Duties:

  • Designs, specifies, and develops solutions for CMMS computing infrastructure

  • Performs research and development to identify and implement applicable emerging technologies for CMMS.

  • Utilizes formal project management methodologies; gathers customer requirements; performs risk management functions; performs capacity and availability planning for computing infrastructure; performs effective communication both, verbal and written, at all levels.

  • Provides operational support for customers using standard operating procedures. Operational duties may include troubleshooting, granting permissions, and training CMMS users.

  • Ensures CMMS data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.

  • Ability to self-supervise.

  • Develops advanced concepts, techniques and standards based on professional principles and theories.

  • Viewed as an expert in field by the lab.

What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Broad expertise and experience with policy and strategy performance assurance, including policy and procedure development, implementation, and enforcement.

  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with document control and records management.

  • Extensive understanding of work hazards, safety practices policies and procedures.

  • Extensive experience and demonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on complex problems affecting facility maintenance and performance assurance.

  • Extensive skill to conceptualize and communicate major elements of processes supporting the maintenance program to both technical and non-technical personnel.

  • In-depth understanding of and experience with a major commercial CMMS database.

  • Extensive understanding of and experience with policy and strategy performance assurance, including policy and procedure development, implementation, and enforcement.

  • Extensive knowledge of CMMS software development methodologies, tools and processes, including software development methodology framework, source code control, application development tools and techniques, database design, development and management, programming languages, and component integration.

  • Extensive knowledge of hardware and software integration and testing.

  • Extensive knowledge of complex heterogeneous computing infrastructures.

  • Extensive knowledge of emerging computing technologies in industry.

  • Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies.

  • SQL or similar programming.

  • Knowledge of Mobile Work Package hardware and CMMS operating systems including system architectures and network infrastructures.

  • Knowledge of hardware and software integration and testing.

Education

Position typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of twelve years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At this level, post graduate course work may be expected.
